Jeff WILLIAMS

Jeff was born in East London, South Africa. He attended the famous Selborne College, where he represented the school’s first team in rugby and cricket and played for Border Schools at the Craven Week. After school, he moved to Cape Town, where he represented Hamilton’s Rugby Club.

In 2011, Jeff signed for French Federale 1 club RC Chateaurenard. He went on to represent the England Sevens team from 2012 until 2015. With two European Championships to his name, Jeff was also a member of the sevens team that won the 2013 Wellington tournament and the 2015 Tokyo sevens. Jeff was a losing finalist against New Zealand in the Sevens World Cup. He scored a total of 40 international tries in 23 international tournaments.

In 2015, Jeff returned to the 15-man game when he signed for Bath in the English Premiership. He spent three seasons with the famous English club. In 2018, Jeff returned to France, where he has since represented Rodez in the Federale 1, Beziers in the Pro D2 and Bassin d’Arachon in the Nationale 2. Jeff boasts a wealth of knowledge in the sevens and fifteen-man game and a great insight into adapting to different cultures and approaches to playing the game.

MICHAEL VAN VUUREN

Born in East London, South Africa, Michael was schooled at Grey High School in Port Elizabeth. He played in the Grey first team in 2008 and 2009 alongside Springbok Captain Siya Kolisi. Michael represented the Eastern Province Schools team at Craven Week in 2009.

After school, he signed with Free State and, in 2011, became the youngest hooker to ever play in the seniors men’s Currie Cup. He also represented the South African under-20 team at the Junior World Cup that year.

In a career spanning more than 12 years, Michael has represented Stade Francais in the Top 14 and English club sides like Bath, Northampton and Wasps. He currently plays for the Newcastle Falcons in the English Premiership.

During his time at Wasps, he was named Head Coach of the Keresley Rugby Club’s 1st team. After Wasps went into administration, Michael returned to South Africa, representing the Lions in the Currie Cup and URC. Whilst in Johannesburg, he was a coaching consultant for St Stithians College and throwing coach for the SA Schools hooker, Esethu Mnebelele.
